Frequently Asked Questions

Pregnancy & Prenatal Chiropractic Questions
I am pregnant, is it safe for me to be adjusted?
Yes! Chiropractic adjustments are safe and effective during pregnancy. Chiropractic care is a safe way to reduce pregnancy pain and to prepare your body for labor and delivery. We have specialized pillows and cushions to help you feel comfortable during your visit, and we have extra training in the treatment of pregnant women including certification in the Webster technique to accommodate the needs of your body during this stage of life. A detailed medical history and examination is performed at your first visit to make sure your chiropractic treatment is safe for your body and specific condition.
What is the Webster Technique?
The Webster Technique is a specialized prenatal chiropractic protocol that focuses on balancing the pelvis and the surrounding soft tissues. When the pelvis is in better alignment, it creates more room and ease for baby to move into the position nature intended.
Can prenatal chiropractic care help if my baby is breech?
Chiropractic care does not turn babies. However, the Webster Technique may help reduce tension in the pelvis, allowing baby the space to find a more optimal position on their own.
Can I bring my child to my appointment?
Of course! Your kids are always welcome. Our office is designed to support mommas and their kids. We want you and your family to feel comfortable and welcome here, so we have toys, books, healthy snacks, a rocking chair, and a changing table so you can bring your kids and feel at home.
"Every plan of care is tailored to your season of motherhood and your child’s unique needs."
Infant & Pediatric Chiropractic Questions

You treat babies? Why would a baby need to be adjusted?
We do treat babies! If you think about the physical journey a baby has gone through during pregnancy, labor, and birth, you can imagine the stress their little bodies may have gone through. When stress is added to the body, it can cause restricted movements in their joints which can make them extra fussy, lead to difficulty breastfeeding, being unable to tolerate tummy time, and other issues. Chiropractic adjustments reduce this stress by correcting joint restrictions, reducing tension, and helping babies to feel more comfortable in their bodies.
Is chiropractic treatment safe for my child?
Yes! Our chiropractors have extra training in the care of pediatric patients of all ages, making it a safe and healthy option for many kiddos. Depending on their age and stage of development, we choose treatment techniques to fit your child and their individual needs. No matter what their age may be, every patient is screened with a detailed medical history and examination for an accurate diagnosis of their condition and to determine the type of care that is best.
What does an adjustment look like for a baby?
It’s calm, quiet, gentle, and respectful. We uses light fingertip pressure, soft chiropractic adjustments, mobilizations, and craniosacral techniques to help release tension and support the nervous system. For infants and young children, we use very gentle techniques that do not require twisting or fast movements. Most babies relax deeply, nurse afterward, or even sleep through their visit.
